It came and went over the decades but it came to a head a few years ago when it got really really bad. It was then I basically discovered after a lot of trial and error that my body was a lot better off when I didn't eaten dairy or gluten. I would be clean for a while then every so often, I'd have a few pastries and I saw it come back.
This year, since living on my own and what I can only presume is the positive effect of being more calm, zen and relaxed, it seems to have gone for the most part.
I know this because on the recent Abe cruise, I was eating a load of treats- up to 3-5 cakes a meal!!! I repeat- a meal! But my skin seems to be ok! A couple of small rough patches here and there but nothing like it used to be, especially given the amount of dairy, sugar and gluten I ate lol!
So it goes to show, that you just have to keep working on yourself and somehow, someway things can shift. I believe it's a cumulative effect. There had been many a time I really wish I didn't have it. I haven't thought about it too much for a while (as I wasn't suffering from it), but nonetheless something seems to have shifted physiologically. And that is quite miraculous considering it's been with me most of my entire life.
So let's hope I can always have my cake and eat it!
All is well!!!
Happy cake-ing!!!
Lots of love, Nick Xxx
